Beside the Wave in Falmouth began using Artlook for Galleries in late 2013. As the system rapidly grew to hold all of their current stock and exhibition details the manual process required to update their existing web site was meaning a lot of double entry work so we were delighted to be asked to build a completely new site which would connect seamlessly with Artlook for Galleries and which would also allow full content management across all the pages. A fresh new design style combines with a full responsive layout meaning that the new site adapts to any type of screen of device, and from the moment the new site launched the on-line shopping features were generating sales.
We were delighted to have the opportunity of working with New Ashgate Gallery on the design and development of an entirely new site. As long term users of Artlook for Galleries they had long wanted a site which they could fully control and update themselves, and one which reflected their updated style and branding. Alongside the connection to Artlook for Galleries, the site contains an extensive content management system for all non-stock-related pages and images, meaning that every aspect is fully editable - even to the extent of adding new pages. A full e-commerce shopping cart is included, with easily definable shipping rates, discount codes, and even an automatic Own Art re-payment calculator.
We have recently been seeing an increasing number of enquiries from galleries and artists in Scotland and are very pleased to announce what we hope will be the first of many new Scottish clients. Susan and Scott Bennett are the new owners of Strathearn Gallery in Crieff and wanted to mark this next phase of a very well-established gallery with an entirely new web site. The site which we have produced for them is managed through Artlook On-Line and contains a number of features to automate the management of exhibitions which include the work of multiple artists working across many different media and types of art.
Artlook for Galleries remains the most widely used management system among leading galleries in Cornwall and we are delighted to welcome Beside the Wave in Falmouth as our most recent client. Artlook was chosen to replace an old and complex Filemaker based system and has quickly transformed day to day management tasks - the ability to easily track consigned stock and artist payments being a particular benefit. As the database of artists and stock started to grow it became a logical next step to link this to the gallery's web site and we will be announcing an entirely new Artlook-managed site early in 2014.
