PRIOR BUILDS
New functionality
a) All versions
· Two new system views have been added under Inventory views relating
to items which are editions
o “Editions*” enables you to see only items which are editions
o “Individual edition items*” enables the display of the individual
edition items with their edition numbers showing
·
The view creation tool has new functionality added when creating
a Contacts view which is based on categories or interests. When these
fields are selected a new tab will appear titled “Complex query”.
Choose this tab to create a query which mixes required and optional values,
eg Contacts who all have Category1 and who also have at least one of Category2
or Category3. Previously this type of query was not possible without editing
the sql.
·
The view creation tool has more functionality added to handle
editions. You will see where appropriate that the criteria choices now
offer “Edition ID” or “Edition No”.
·
A new dimensions converter tool has been added to the stock editor.
This enables you to enter dimensions of a piece not in your default dimensions,
eg if you normally inches you can call up the tool to enter in centimetres
and the tool will make the conversion for you. Press the new calculator
button next to the dimensions to find the tool.
·
A new search function has been added for inventory items “Search
in description”. Choose “Edit | Find in … | Stock descriptions”.
This generates a wild card search and leaves you with a display of matching
items.
·
The drop down list of mediums in the Stock Editor is now incremental – just
type the initial letters of the medium and the drop down will match your
typing where available – useful for navigating long lists of medium
types.
b) Artists version
· It is now permitted to have more than one artist on a single
system. There will always be a primary artist but additional artists are
now permitted. This includes the Sitebuilder website management tool as
well. To utilise this option you will need to buy additional licences
for each extra artist. Contact us for pricing.
Optional database upgrade
Please note that the Firebird database which Artlook uses has
now been upgraded to version 1.5 and Artlook has been tested successfully
to run with this new upgrade. Future releases of Artlook may require
this upgrade although at this stage it remains entirely optional. Users
with larger databases may notice some performance improvements. The
upgrade is entirely free and you may obtain it by either emailing us
at support@artlook.com or advanced users may download it themselves
(http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/firebird/Firebird-1.5.3.4870-0-Win32.exe)
and follow the installation instructions. In any event you are advised
to back up your database first (Tools | Other tools | Standard backup).
If you have any doubts or queries please contact us in the first instance.
